Condo Fucks City Rockers

Seven songs about being a punk rock kid in Connecticut in the nineties. All song titles came from a decades-old joke that Yo La Tengo made about a fictional band called the Condo Fucks.

“That is indeed a crazy idea.” —Yo La Tengo

The Condo Fucks were either an obscure punk bank from Connecticut or Yo La Tengo in disguise. Either way, the Condo Fucks have a bunch of fictional records, and Karl Ward set out to write new songs for all the song titles of one of those fictional records. WFMU DJ Joe McGasko described it as “a concept EP that I don’t quite get but it involves Connecticut, and punk rock, and really good pop music.” Joe, I think you got it just fine.
